 My daughter is doing kutchwork on stitched kurti.

Thread used  _rangoli variegated

No of strands used_6

There is a simple border on yoke and small motif on whole yoke.will post the picture when fully embroidered.

Princess crochet frock1

 You have seen the development of this frock in my previous posts.lt is a princess crochet frock for 2-3 yr girl

It is crocheted in c2c stitch but not diagonally.

All the three parts ie two front and one back are crocheted separately down to the waist.then they are combined in one and flare is added from there.

For the three parts I have crocheted 11,13 C2C stitches and 17 for back.upto the waist they are crocheted straight and then combined together.

The three parts are joined together at the shoulder according to shoulder width and the remaining is left on which collar will be crocheted.as shown in first figure.

The three parts are then combined together and waist down part is crocheted .flare is added by increasing the stitches.i have increased 6 stitches in one row and there is increase after every six rows till the required lemgth is reached

Leaving the arm hole width.remaining part is sewn.and the sleeve is knit onthis in round.

In a different way as this stitch is designed to be knit back and forth.after reaching the starting,the work is turned back and crocheted

For the sleeves ther is 15 C2C stitches.it is also shaped and decreased after some rows to get the shape.

Casting on for two color brioche

 Take yarn of twocolors

Tie the two yarns together

Place the needle between two yarns and catch the knot with two fingers

And cast in a stitch using long tail cast on

Twist the two yarns

And cast on astitch with second color.then agai twistthe yarns and cast on stitch with first color.continue doing so tillthe required number of stitches..

This is how it looks.the knot  which is kept on the needle is not counted as stitch and not knitted.

Glitter paint on kurta

 I did a henna type desigñ on the top right side of kurta with glitter paint.it was a free hand design but the flow of paint was quite thick.i wanted to check this paint as I had it in my stash. Let's see how it responds to frequent washing.

 I have joined the various parts from shoulder and started knitting the sleeve.it is knit back and forth and joined at the starting to get a seemless sleeve .

Brioche tunic completed

 I have sewn the shoulders and one side as it was knitted in one piece upto armhole and then it was divided accordingly.lhave used some leftover wool from previous projects.as I wanted to practice the brioche stitch in two colours in one go.

Crochet princess frock update

The bodice part is complete and the flare for frock has started
