reverse running stitch

T his is how i worked my blackwork design I am giving the working method for 1/4 design ,same method is repeated afterwards.the key is to have a main path and the others are all side trips.The main path i selected is  shown in orange and black .and all the side trips are shown in pink .the black path is the forward path and all the side trips are worked in forward path .the side trip is fully stitched on itself and returns to the point where it has branched  . here two squares represent one stitch.... there are  many ways of embroidering the side trips .one can choose according to her own convenience.orange is the returning path.in second picture the right flower is the result after forward path is traversed and the left pic is after returning path is stitched.

kutchwork yoke

This kutchwork is done with three strands of stranded cotton of anchor thread.I am not happy with this design as the centre part is looking sort of blank.I think a small motif should be done in the empty space.Any suggestions?

TAST stitch no 49

TAST stitch no. 49 is knotted feather stitch I have worked the veins of leaf with the stitch The outline of the leaf is spanish knotted feather stitch the embroidery is done on printed cloth

long and short stitch

I have embroidered this design on the kurta using long and short stitch I have used one skein of anchor stranded cotton thread for long and short and the centre is french knot with six strandshttp://www.needlenthread.com/2009/08/long-short-stitch-shading-lesson-2.html was a great help for me and http://trishburr.co.za/category/image-galleries/gallery this site was a great inspiration for me though my work is not so fine and needs improvement.

                                          

 blue and yellow flowers  two skeins for roumanian stitch in blue and out lined it with button holestitch in yellow.The outline got a little curled inside i should have used knotted buttonhole The idea of filling the flowers was taken from sadalas blog spot.com from saree embroidery
